Step 2 - Search Filters and Advanced Search Options
Salesbot offers over a dozen deep search filters, allowing you to find and prospect from our database of 650+ million sales leads. From basic search features like location and job titles, to advanced filters like Booleans and DEI filters, Salesbot helps you focus on the right sales leads.
Let's start at the top and review each section of the search panel. At the top, you'll see the name of the project, and quick navigation to jump to other projects and sections (search, sales lead, reaching out).
Current Search
Next up is the 'Current Search'. In Salesbot, you can have multiple searches all filtering into one list of qualified sales leads. Click on the pull-down arrow next to "Created By" to copy the search, rename it, delete it, and other options. You can quickly run multiple searches and change up your search filters.
Search Overview
With Search Overview, you can get a detailed breakdown of all the leads in your search results--from top companies to job titles, demographics, and more! Export this overview as a PDF or change the categories to match your needs.
Edit Using AI
If you've ever used ChatGPT, then this section is for you. Type your search adjustments here, and click 'Search with AI' to refine. Or, click a quick prompt to immediately regenerate and adjust the search. An example might be, "Add in the top 100 SaaS companies to the companies search".
Locations (both Prospect and Company HQ)
Just like it sounds, location lets you target the location(s) where your sales lead or prospect resides. Choose a city, state, country, or even a zip code. You can also use the 'Doesn't Have' option to exclude prospects from specific locations. Note the mile radius filter ONLY applies to cities. If you're good with searching an entire country, say the whole US, just use "United States".
Just like searching for where the prospect resides (prospect's location), you can alternatively search by the location of the Company Headquarters (company HQ). Or, you can mix and match both the Company HQ and prospect location for an uber-detailed search.
Job Titles
Searching by job titles is the fastest way to quickly refine your list of sales prospects. Find prospects by either a single job title (like "Director of Talent"), a group of job titles (such as "Recruiter"), or a Boolean ("Director OR Manager AND (Talent OR Recruiting OR HR)"). To add a new job title, just start typing and SalesBot's autocomplete will suggest the best option.
Skills and Experience
Looking for sales leads with a specific number of years of experience or time at their current company? Or, a particular set of skills or experience with a product? With Salesbot, you can narrow down your sales leads to exactly the experience level and skill base you're looking for. You've got options to set a minimum, maximum, or either, for both total experience in the job or at their current company. For skills, you can include or exclude as many skill options as you'd like.
Industries
Looking for prospects in a specific industry? With the industry search, just start typing to autocomplete the most relevant industry match. Or, add multiple industries by Boolean, such as "Oil OR Gas OR Solar OR Nuclear OR Electric" and watch the prospects pour in!
Company Size
Company size--target those prospects currently working at companies with a specific employee count with this easy search filter.
Companies Advanced
With Salesbot, you can search for specific companies by name, or, exclude companies you don't want to appear in searches.
In the Company Description section, you can search for keywords or phrases appearing in the description of the companies you're looking for. An example might be "financial software", which targets the description of the company. A great way to deep dive into the specific description of the company, even if it isn't mentioned on the sales lead's profile.
Education
If education requirements are a must, or you want to target by alumni at a specific school, use the education filter to add your search options. The degrees section functions as an "OR" search, so selecting Bachelor and the Masters' options finds prospects with BOTH.
DEI Signals
If you're looking for diversity signals in your sales prospecting process, use our quick filters to identify signals in your prospects.
Full Profile Search
If you want to search for prospects by a specific keyword or phrase, you can use the full profile search to do just that. Let's say you're looking for Account Executives in the SaaS space with CRM and financial accounting experience. Just add a Boolean search (or use the Boolean Builder wizard to walk you through it) for something similar to, 'CRM AND "financial accounting"' to narrow your search.

Find a Specific Person
If you have a specific individual you'd like to search for and add to your sales list, you can search by name or LinkedIn profile URL. Just add in this search field (make sure to exclude any other search criteria) and if there's a match, you'll see the search results show the number of matching prospects.
Save and See Search Results
As you're adjusting your search filters to find the perfect list of sales prospects, you'll see the count updating in real-time on the right-side panel (shown below). Once you're happy with the number of prospects in your search results, click 'Save and See Search Results' to 'lock in' your search and display the list of prospects.
Now that you've completed an initial search for prospects, let's jump into turning prospects into leads.
